A Thousand Splendid Suns

My newest necklace, "A Thousand Splendid Suns," inspired by the novel by Kahled Hosseini.

I'm really very proud of this piece of all the ones that I have finished so far, it's just gorgeous, and the deep red of the Indian lampwork beads goes remarkably well with the copper of the necklace itself. Though I usually shy away from the use of glass beads in any work, the lampwork was on sale and they were just so lovely I had to go for it.

I was actually surprised at how versatile this necklace is when I'm wearing it as it looked great on both skin and clothes and just generally has a good feel.

I still have plenty of pieces rattling around in my brain to work on, but still I enjoy this little victory.
